Valentine’s is a little café with a big heart. Located on Church Street in Noe Valley, this cozy neighborhood spot seats 45 and wears its walls in blue and green; it’s easy to enjoy the unobtrusive aesthetic. But the real reason to go Valentine’s Café is the food; vegetarian cuisine that will please even the most staunch omnivore! The menu is delectable and far from pretentious: delicious food at reasonable prices. A decent wine list offers tasty toast options while entrees are sure to start those salivary glands juicing before you’ve even settled on an appetizer (oh, the pain of decision!). And remember to save room for dessert; Valentine’s makes them unbeatable (chocolate turtle torte…mmmmmm). One warning: be careful not to show up on a Monday or Tuesday because the restaurant is closed (the kitchen needs the time to cook up their yummies for stores who keep asking for more). If you get out of bed on the weekends, don’t miss Valentine’s scrumptious vegan brunch menu that can be de-veganed with eggs and cheese, if you’re so inclined. But with all this veggie stuff, who will really love this place? Everybody who likes friendly service and great food. |
