Home to the Morrison Planetarium, the Steinhart Aquarium, the De Witt Treat Clock Collection and prized historic dioramas of ancient mammals on earth, this facility is easy to spend a whole day in, but its proximity to so many other attractions nearby in the park make it more than a one day visit.

It doesn't matter what age you are, you'll find something of interest in the Academy. There is a fine collection of Native American art including jewelery by notable silversmiths. Check out the African Safari (the landscape painting behind the exhibits is outstanding), and Wild California.

The aquarium makes a trip down to Monterey not seem a necessity. Check out the African Safari and Wild California.
