Gosh, I just love coming to D'Angelo. The food is reliably tasty, and I always seem to be in the best company when I go. Good food but crap company does not a fine dining experience make.

D'Angelo is right on the main plaza in Mill Valley. It's a large restaurant, and it's almost always busy but not overloadia with the crowds. My favorite place to sit is at the bar so I can have prime seating for people-watching.

Rocking the house on the appetizer menu is the Bruschetta. With multicolored, show-offy cherry tomatoes, arugula, olives, basil, and chunks of mozzarella, it's a meal unto itself! J says that there's too much heaped on top of the bread. But we still order it every time so I don't think too much weight should be put on that criticism. It's not a dainty dish. ($8.50). The Carpaccio Veneto is also yummy, thinly sliced raw beef sprinkled with shaved Parm cheese, arugula, capers and a dash of olive oil and lemon. ($9.25).

For those who like to go the salad route, you have c-h-o-i-c-e-s. There's a mighty fine spinach salad with the requisite hunks of bacon and other goodies. The Caprese Salad is a good standby.

There are pizzas (never tried). There are pastas (never tried). And then there is a fish of the day that is typically served amongst a colorful heaping of heirloom tomatoes. Delicious. Order this in a hurry. Other mains are Roasted Chickie, Fish Soup (huge!), Ribeye Steak, and a whole menu of daily specials.

There's a great selection of Italian wines amongst others.

And the hours are conveniently seven days a week from 11am-11pm.
