The Fried Rice at Tu Lan

If you haven’t heard of Tu Lan, ignore this section. The place is already too crowded with those in the know about the best Vietnamese food in the city. This joint, because it’s hard to call it a restaurant, has won rave reviews from critics and just people who like good cheap eats alike. It’s always busy, much to the chagrin of this reviewer, and the service just sucks. But I just can’t help myself -- every single dish is mouth-watering. There are a few things I could tell you to make your experience at Tu Lan more enjoyable, but I’m not about to give away my hard-earned secrets. Well all right, just one: order the fried rice. I’ve already said too much.
