The drive to Muir Woods and Stinson Beach

While I do not often venture out of the city limits (for health reasons), there are times when the need to escape does overcome me.

I’ve found no better excursion than the drive up to Muir Woods and Stinson Beach. Muir Woods is great for a nice walk with good friends or that special someone, but it’s also perfect to head out to alone, for reading and reflection. The gigantic trees are majestic reminders of how insignificant our lives really are and the air is downright medicinal. A quick drive or bike ride away is Stinson Beach, which is probably the best beach up in Nor-Cal (does that actually mean anything?). You can lie out in the limited sun or do a little swimming in the sometimes shark-inhabited waters. I go just for the winding roads and unbelievable views

(Posthoc Disclaimer: driving while attempting to view these landscapes can be hazardous to your health) that lead you there.
