Beth Lisick of The Beth Lisick Ordeal

I believe that no matter which woman I end up falling in love with, there is always going to be a place in my heart for Beth Lisick. And my girl better understand.

If you haven’t seen this spoken word artist turned jazz combo front-woman before, then you are missing out. Lisick’s gritty tales of dating and urban living form the foundation for the Beth Lisick Ordeal, a jazz band that actually keeps pace with her rapid-fire lyrics.

She’s written a book (Monkey Girl), cut an intense first album (Pass), even starred in couple of plays, and still manages to perform at hotspots like Café du Nord and Make Out Room.

But remember I saw her first.
