Happy Hour at A Motion Studio

If there was a secret hipsters union, I’m sure I’d be making their hit list with this one. A Motion is part clothing factory, part retail store, part happy hour, all fun. While you can shop there any time, every third Friday of the month is a special happy hour with wine & cheese, house music, the fashion elite, and of course the fashion forward clothes.

The garments tend to hang better off a slinkier frame than mine, sometimes the fabric choices are a bit strange, and the selection is more weighted towards women, but that hasn’t prevented me from coming away with a nice selection of shirts, jackets, and even the requisite hooded sweatshirt over the last few months.

Even if you’re not a fashionista, check out what the A Motion boys and girls are up to, simply because this is one show that even Mickey Drexler can’t Gaptize.

(440 Brannan Street, 415-281-9067).
