To die for! Brie croissants that are rich and flaky, zucchini bread that is moist and heavy, coffee cake with lots of crumbly stuff on top, Russian tea cookies that leave white powder down your front. I Love Chocolate is a secret to much of San Francisco but for those who live in the Laurel Village, Inner Richmond, Presidio Heights corner, this is favorite morning must-stop spot.

For me, the croissants are number one here. They offer almond, plain, chocolate, spinach and cheddar, and brie as I mentioned above. These are flaky croissants. Like they should be. The kind of croissants that leave lots of bits in the bottom of the paper bag. That's always a good sign. Brownies, bars, cookies, breads, they're all made here on site. From scratch. Pies and cakes come in a multiple of varieties and can be scaled to serve the masses.

There are a few tables to sit at inside the bakery. And there are always copies of The New York Times and other rags to read while you chock up your arteries. Sometimes at the weekends you'll see folks pulling the chairs outside onto the sidewalk. If you're into good pastries and sweet stuff, definitely make a point to swing by I Love Chocolate.
