I was lounging on my couch with a So-What-If-Jesus-Christ-Rose-From-The-Dead hangover, contemplating what kind of greasy comfort food would restore my glamour and place me among the ever beautiful, popular people once again. After a discussion with my equally hungover roommate, we agreed that the perfect remedy would be the Four Seasons Restaurant. This restaurant carries a lot of memories for me. It was my first dining experience when I moved here, and has continued to be one of the places I end up on special occasions. Those you associate with a bad beer commercial trying to represent friendship and commitment. The wonderful thing about living in the 21st century is home delivery. In the state I was in, it was the only way food was going to viable. My roommate and I had agreed upon several dishes, and all of them having some orientation of prawns. Upon delivery we were ecstatic to find that they restaurant had upgraded into new containers, so that the food doesnŐt spill quite so easily. The unfortunate part is that the new containers were Styrofoam. The restaurant itself is a very welcoming space. Located right off of the intersection of Church and Market. The majority of seating is along the walls, with tables ranging from two to six. The one major draw back is that each wall is lined with a mirror from the seats to the ceiling. Although I do not mind staring at myself throughout the meal, it is quite infuriating when the person I am with chooses to do the same and not stare at me. The staff has always been extremely courteous, perhaps because they own the restaurant. Occasionally I have found that I have not received portions of an order due to language barriers, however those experiences are limited and somewhat stereotypical. The menu selection is quite vast, providing a variety of pork, chicken, beef, and vegetarian ensembles. Throughout a multitude of visits I have tried almost every variation of their menu, and even some that are not a part of the menu which they have been happy to oblige. As I have always been a fan of any local restaurant that serves quality food for reasonable prices, I have staunchly supported this restaurant since the day I moved here. The average meal is usually about $15 per person, with portions large enough to take home some leftovers. If you are looking for some good old hard-core Chinese food to eradicate that hangover, give them a call because they will restore your glamour with a greasy smile.
