Right around the corner is the Potrero Hill Brewing Company.

When in dire need of escape from the claustrophobic realms of corporate America’s cubicle-size privacy, walk down to Jack London Square for a refreshing, clean, brisk, refreshing glimpse of the water. And what better place for your luncheon dining experience by the water than Kinkaid’s?

Be prepared for a dining experience of more than an hour, but the food is most definitely worth waiting for. Kinkaid’s is a great place to bring someone for intimate conversations, catching up on lost time or, best yet, celebrating that long-deserved promotion. Kinkaid’s is a great dining experience: great food, visuals, service and atmosphere. The service is true quality; our waitress was great and had that distinguished English accent. We ordered the dungeness crab appetizer and it was the best crab appetizer I've tried, and I'm not even much of crab fan; this appetizer is a rich blend of artichoke hearts, dungeness crab, sliced onion, wholesome, sliced sesame pan bread, and an added touch of Parmesan cheese.

If you enjoy a white wine that goes well with your meal, many here will recommend the Belvedere because it's light and clean and its taste doesn't mask the flavors of the entrees. They also offer celebration wines, red wines and numerous cocktails.

You may get lost in Kinkaid’s menu, which includes soup and salad combos, shellfish, poultry, steaks, chops, and roasts to order. All are highly recommended. My personal favorite is the spit-roasted chicken, a fantastic option for those of us less adventurous in the area of crustacean consumption. For a true seafood lover, however, your best bet is Kinkaid’s signature preparations like the roasted garlic prawns and salmon—oven-roasted garlic prawns in savory, garlic butter, fresh, and salmon fillet with vermouth—or the famous oven-roasted Australian rock lobster rail accompanied by dry sherry and almond butter.

The prices at Kinkaid’s are probably the only trying experience; entrees start at $15 and go on up to $40. So if you plan on taking someone special here, they better be someone pretty special because the bill will empty out most of your pockets. Kinkaid's is most definitely a top-quality restaurant set at the gorgeous waterfront of Jack London Square. I recommend Kinkaid’s for anyone who's got a reason to celebrate. Have a ball!
