Stu says he's smart, fairly well educated and very independent. We say he's got a damn sharp wit that ensures we chuckle when we read his reviews.
Stu has worked in publishing, electronics and the bar and restaurant business. He was diagnosed HIV+ in 1989 when he owned and operated a swinging singles bar here in San Francisco. As a result, he went into denial and started drinking himself into oblivion to avoid dealing with the stigma of a death sentence from what was then popularly believed to be the result of his QUEER identity. Stu converted to an AIDS diagnosis in early 1995, and decided with the help of something far bigger than him, to get clean and sober.
