Kathleen grew up on the Peninsula and like a good native went to Stanford, where she studied English and Feminist Studies and somehow learned identical lessons from both feminist theory and bad breakups. She played drums and killed brain cells in the infamous Stanford band and served as a freshman RA, which ruined her love of people for an entire summer. To avoid separation anxiety, Kathleen got her MA at Stanford, too, but fled to San Francisco soon after the Palo Alto area code changed from 415 to 650. After stints in the nonprofit sector, where she co-founded the Young Nonprofit Professionals’ Network and the crazy world of PR, now she spends her days producing the Egreetings.com web site, researching the Gen Y market (read: watching MTV and hanging out eating candy with teenagers), and trying to convince people she’s over 18. Kathleen is an Aquarius and has the dubious honor of being born on Valentine’s Day, which means that every year, when she doesn’t have a date, at least her parents want to hang out with her. Obsessions: running marathons, soccer, dance, volunteer work, cooking, gardening, music and hot bassists. If it’s not an obsession, it’s not worth mentioning.
